Kompanija nVidija predstavlila je novu grafičku karticu GeForce GTX 295 koja je preuzela presto od ATI konkurenta.
Na ovogodišnjem CES sajmu, nVidija je predstavila GeForce GTX 295 grafičku karticu namenjenu najzahtevnijim igračima.

Novi GeForce biće prva kartica koja koristi osveženi GT200 grafički procesor izrađen u 55 nanometarskoj tehnologiji. Kartica će imati dva GT200 procesora sa ukupno 480 jezgra, što je duplo više od GeForcea GTX 280. Novi
GPU će raditi na 576 MHz dok je shader clock postavljen na 1242 MHz. GeForce GTX295 dolazi sa čak 1792 MB DDR3 memorije koja radi na 2 GHz.

Ova dual-slot kartica dolazi sa HDMI kao i sa dual-link DVI izlazima. Iako je novi čip efikasniji po pitanju potrošnje energije, dva procesora će i dalje “vući” čak 289 vati, pa one koji planiraju da naprave quad SLI konfiguraciju moraće obavezno da nabave napajanje od preko 1kW.
